I was born in Mexico City and raised in California. Growing up bilingual always brought up an interest as to how language is learned and the advantages of knowing more than one language brings. Thus, while attending UC Santa Cruz for my bachelor’s degree, I studied Linguistics and Politics as a double major, focusing on Theoretical Syntax and International Politics.

 

Now, my work as a Translator and Interpreter (in English and Spanish) brings me the fulfillment I once was in search of. I connect monolingual communities, and most importantly, create a bridge to information and knowledge to support an upward mobility of communities of color or communities in need.

 

I spend my free time traveling around the country, hiking, swimming, trying new foods. I’m on a mission of traveling all 50 states before the age of 30.
