Thane Joyal has been consulting and supporting boards of directors since 2007. Based in Syracuse, NY, Thane brings a wealth of practical governance experience to her work and seeks to help her client boards and board members become effective assets to their organizations. The work of a board of directors occurs at many levels. The board not only holds the fiduciary responsibility for an organization but it also sets the leadership tone that creates the foundation for the organization’s culture. Board members must bring a blend of attention, curiosity and graceful professionalism to their work despite the very common human challenges that arise when we work in groups. Thane works to share, coach and foster the skills and practices that create excellence in leadership and organizational achievement.
